BOLSENA CONCLUDED THE FIRST VINTAGE BIKE RALLY CYCLE "LA CARRARECCIA"
On Sunday 11th September 2011, on a splendid sunny day, the first cycle of the “Carrareccia” vintage bike rally took place all around Lake Bolsena, starting from the town of the same name - pedaling back in time rediscovering nature and the environment -
A varied number of cyclists participated in the tour, some improvised for the day such as the representatives of the running group "Bolsena Forum" led by the young emerging athlete of the local Running Laura Sordini who did very well even on two wheels, other very young people who took advantage of a nice ride (54 km) with their father or family, others a little less young like number 1 and 2 of the old glories of Bolsenese cycling Fulvio Tamburini (81 years old) and Giovanni Coletti ( 66 years old), both at the finish line with their old jewels proudly displayed, also present Giuseppe Caprio well known for his passion and for the illustrious ancestor who was the first in the area to participate in a real Giro D'Italia. and the 59-year-old former road cycling professional Valter SANTERONI, from Savona, who in the "70s" raced for the "GIS GELATI" and "MAGNIFLEX-TORPADO" teams, also participating in the 1977 World Championships in Venezuela, attempting on that occasion a "glorious escape", ending up "recovered" 15 Km. from the finish, which on the occasion of "La Carrareccia" proudly shows off the original shirt, bike and shoes of the company.
